BUXTON Harold was an English public and religious figure, a priest.  He was a member of British-Armenian Committee, an Honorary Secretary of the Lord Mayor's Fund for Armenian refugees. In 1913 he was in Western and Eastern Armenia for missionary purposes with his brother N. Buxton. 

In 1914 their book “Travel and Politics in Armenia” was published where the national characteristics of the Armenian people, its history, culture, traditions are depicted. The authors also touched upon the geopolitical conditions of the Western Armenia and the Policy of Powers concerning the Armenian Issue.  
He came back to Armenia again in 1916 with a group of doctors and nurses for providing medical assistance to the Armenian people. In 1921 he was in Soviet Armenia, which according to him was the national home for Armenians, where the survivors of pogroms, massacres and deportation found shelter. 

Buxton discussed the issue of refugees of Mesopotamia with the Armenian Government. He wrote a number of works on the Armenian Issue.
